Elizabeth retired from the Newport News Independent School District as a high school Secretary. She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she attended Ron Cogdill's Senior Adult Sunday School Class.

From the delight of her birth, to the closing days of her life, Elizabeth nourished her family and blessed her friends with love and joy. She was forever smiling and it was clear she "never met a stranger." Her greatest gift was her ability to love people, which was clearly apparent in her interactions with senior residents of Brookdale Senior Living where she visited frequently and called Bingo games once a month. She loved sewing and quilting became one of her passions that created a legacy of treasures for her family and friends.

The family extends our gratitude to the staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Grapevine for their attentiveness, compassion, and gentle loving care during her illness, and especially to Dr. Lisa Gamble for her tireless efforts.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Boulevard, Colleyville, Texas.
